Korean Beef Bowls
Description
A quick and delicious beef dish with a tangy flavor. Perfect for busy days at the station where you don't have time to watch the oven between calls. Great fuel for a long day. Add broccoli or stir-fry vegetables for a well rounded meal!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar*
- 1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce*
- 1/4 cup teriyaki*
- 4 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 small fresh ginger root (peeled and minced)
- 3 pounds of ground beef
- 3 green onions
- 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
- *can be replaced with Veri Veri Teriyaki sauce from Walmart
Instructions
- Step 1 - In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes and ginger.
- Step 2 - Heat vegetable oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Step 3 - Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the beef as it cooks; drain excess fat
- Step 4 - Stir in soy sauce mixture and green onions until well combined, allowing to simmer until heated through, about 2 minutes.
- Step 5 - Serve immediately over rice, garnished with green onion and sesame seeds
