Ingredients

  • 2 cups slivered almonds
  • 1 cup extra virgin coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp low carb sweetener
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp orange zest (best when fresh from orange)
  • 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • pinch of kosher salt
  • cupcake liners

Instructions

  1. Step 1- Take slivered almonds, coconut oil, sweetener, vanilla extract, orange zest, salt, and combine in food processor or blender
  2. Step 2- Blend on high speed until smooth
  3. Step 3- Divide mixture in half into two bowls
  4. Step 4- Add cocoa powder into one bowl and mix until dark brown/black
  5. Step 5- In cupcake liner, pour light mixture into one half of cup, dark mixture into other half
  6. Step 6- Repeat process above using all of the mixture
  7. Step 7- Freeze for 20 minutes, serve
